Instead it says alarm has been triggered and the security center has been notified. I was waiting for someone to contact me but it never happened. So I logged onto the app and found out it's a communication failure triggered by one of the sensors. I tried to
disarm or reset
using the app, it wouldn't let me and kept getting message that says cannot be reset due to the communication failure. I figured out how to reset it but I have to be home to do it using the console. Then open and close the door or window that triggered the error. Then it will reset itself. What a piece of useless device and gives me more headaches than security service. Very very annoyed!'I got TV, velocity very high speed internet and their security system for only 125/month 1st yr 152 2nd yr. A different company I had misrepresented the system and a crappy nanny cam for $68/month on a 3 yr contract. I used to hate Comcast, however they've improved dramatically and the price CANT be beat.

A Ring Protect subscription activates an LTE module in the base station that will keep the
system connected to the internet if your broadband connection
goes down. You can even run the keypad on battery power full time if you choose, since most homes don’t have AC outlets right next to doors. An LED will tell you when the battery needs to be charged. There is currently no support for controlling the system with voice commands, but it should come as no surprise that Ring is developing an Alexa skill. Once you can arm your security system using a voice command, you won’t want to do it any other way disarming it that way is whole other question. Harris was slightly more circumspect about supporting Google Assistant.
